DESCRIPTION:The San Diego Surfing Hall of Fame was created out of the surfi
 ng community’s response to our Skip Frye Tribute presented during our 20
 17 San Diego Surf Film Festival. We began the festival in 2012 and every y
 ear we pick a surfing legend to represent one of our film awards and Skip 
 became the obvious choice to be the 2017. We saved the “Spirit of the Fe
 stival” award for Skip knowing it would be perfect for Skip’s soul sty
 le.
